We believe something special happens when young people from different backgrounds and countries come together. They learn from each other, grow in confidence and discover new perspectives. Our ultimate aim is to create opportunities for them to meet, learn and explore a world beyond the one they already know.
Since 2017, Education Together has been helping young people to learn, grow and connect across borders. In 2025, we also became the new home of the Embrace England programmes, building on more than a decade of experience bringing young people from Germany to the UK. Today, from our base in the northern English city of York, we are proud to continue that story and take it forward.
Whether you join us for ten days, a few months or longer, our aim is the same: to provide an experience that combines new opportunities and growing independence with the personal support and encouragement everybody needs. I hope you enjoy discovering what is possible, and I look forward to welcoming you to York.

What we do
We want to build knowledge by doing, create understanding by forming connections and establish a culture that gives young people a space to share their own voice with others.
- We deliver residential experiences for 12 to 18 year olds – helping them develop language and interpersonal skills in partnership with others, from the UK, Europe and beyond.
- We support high-school and college placements, providing the opportunity for people to spend an extended period of time learning and living in the UK.
- We help young people living in the UK to meet prticipants from overseas and take part in activities alongside them.
- We develop bespoke projects and partnerships, working with school groups, Further and Higher Education centres, community organisation and others.
