Summer 2026 - Course Details

International registration for Summer English programme is now closed. Local participants can register here. Based at Bootham school in the heart of York's historic city centre. it is designed to build independence, global awareness and English language knowledge. It is also a fantastic way to experience studying abroad for those thinking of longer term placements in York.

We combine learning in the classroom with practical experience outside. In small groups, students take part in English language sessions tailored to their ability and interests. They then apply this knowldege in a variety of themed workshops and activities developed to build confidence and understanding. Alongside this, we introduce participants to York and the wider county of Yorkshire with trips and visits to some of the most beautiful and significant sites in the United Kingdom. Finally we travel to London to give participants a taste of the UK’s iconic global capital.
